Gasoline Related
HB 209:
Wholesale Motor Fuel and Competition Act
This bill requires terminals to charge
the same price for motor fuel regardless of the class of trade.
HB 1324:
An Act Relative to the Theft of Motor Fuel
This bill would establish penalties for
drive-offs. First offense is a $100 fine and loss of license for 30 days.
Second offense is a $200 fine and loss of license for 60 days.
HB 3325:
An Act Further Regulating the Unfair Sale of Motor Fuel at Prices Below Cost
This bill strengthens the current state
law that prohibits below cost selling of gasoline.
Repair Related
SB 234: An
Act to Establish an Automotive Board of Mechanics Board of Registration
This creates a new state board to license
auto repair mechanics in Massachusetts.
HB 296:
The Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Owners’ Right to Repair Act of 2007
The purpose of this act is
a)
to ensure the safety of all vehicles owners in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts by requiring the disclosure of all information necessary for the
proper diagnosis, service, and repair of a motor vehicle in a timely, reliable,
and affordable manner, and
b)
to encourage competition in the diagnosis, service, and repair of motor
vehicles in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
HB 826:
An Act Requiring the Further Management of Used Oil Filters
This bill would require additional
reporting requirements.
HB 827:
An Act Relative to Used Oil Recycling
This bill creates a Used Oil Recycling
Fund and establishes a 5 cent per quart payment on each quart sold to support
recycling.
HB 828:
An Act Relative to the Abatement of Scrap Tire Stockpiles and the Proper
Management of Scrap Tire Generation
This bill establishes the Scrap Tire
Abatement and Management Program that will require a payment ranging from $1.50
to $3.00 for each tire sold. Additional reporting requirements would also be
established.
