The PACE Program
We invite you to send any entry level employee who wants to advance his/her
general automotive skills.
The PACE Intermediate course provides 107 hours of hands-on technical training
and has been particularly effective in helping entry level techs, lube techs,
valets and lot attendants gain the skills to advance in their
jobs.
Topics Covered:
- Automotive Systems & Electricity
- Chassis, Brakes & Suspension, Wheel Alignment
The class meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6-9pm) and 1 Saturday per
month. Sessions run from September - December, and March - June.
Additional Benefits:
- The PACE Career Coach will work with you, your employee and the PACE
Instructor to monitor class attendance and performance and set goals for
improvement, if necessary.
- The instructor will provide you with a completed student evaluation called
a Competency Checklist so that you will know on which jobs the
employee is ready to work independently, and which tasks require additional
supervision.
- Employees earn 6 college credits through Ben Franklin Institute of
Technology.
Location:
Training takes place at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School on
Columbus Ave in Boston. Parking is plentiful and free.
Fee:
The cost to the employer is $1400 for 107 hours technical training, 6 college
credits, accompanied by career coaching services. There is an additional $50
cost for the text book.

PACE also places graduates from our Introduction to Automotive Maintenance
Course with service and repair shops in the Boston Metro area. The PACE
Introductory course provides 185 hours of basic hands-on instruction in safety,
tire rotation, tire pressure, wheel balancing, oil change, brakes and other
preventative maintenance services. The training also includes basic math,
computer and workplace communication and etiquette skills to
help participants succeed in the automotive industry. All graduates are S/P2
certified.
